Hydrating your Skin at Home

There are many ways you can keep your skin looking and feeling great with the use of skin loving ingredients.

Hyaluronic acid is suitable for all skin types and is one of your most beneficial skincare ingredients because it provides immediate and long-lasting hydration. As our skin ages, it loses it’s natural ability to retain water – one of the biggest factors in why we get wrinkles and fine lines.

Hyaluronic Acid is a natural occurring substance in our bodies that keeps our skin hydrated, stable and able to renew cells. Like most things as we age it breaks down.

Hyaluronic Acid is admired for its ability to retain moisture – holding one thousand times it’s own weight in water – leaving your skin feeling hydrated and looking plump! Not only this, is it also packed full of antioxidants which means as well as hydrating your skin it’s also working hard to protect and nourish.

Hyaluronic Acid is best applied both morning and evening onto cleansed skin and before your moisturiser. This will give it the greatest chance of absorption with the added bonus of it drawing in further hydration from your moisturiser.

Apply one pump of Hyaluronic Acid into your fingertips and gently press it into your skin. Wait a few seconds for it to absorb before applying your moisturiser.

Here are two of our favourite HA serums:

PCA Hyaluronic Boosting Serum which also encourages our skin to produce it’s own hyaluronic acid, resulting in long-term anti-aging and hydration.

Aspect Dr Hyaluronic which is a light wight hydrating serum.
Hydration is key to health both inside and out. While you’re at home be sure you’re drinking enough water, this will not only let your skin GLOW but will help keep your immune system strong. Also schedule in your your home care regime daily and make it a priority.
