The Best Ever Exfoliation For Your Skin

You may be cleansing, toning and moisturising but if you’re not exfoliating, your skin isn’t as healthy as it could be.

What is exfoliation?

Exfoliation involves the removal of dead cells from the skin’s surface. Exfoliation can be chemical or physical. Chemical exfoliation uses active agents such as AHAs or salicylic acid to dissolve dead skin cells without scrubbing. Physical exfoliation uses a granular scrub to unstick any dead skin cells.

Why exfoliation is so important

As we age, the process of cell rejuvenation slows; the skin is slower to shed dead cells and regenerate new ones. As a result, your skin needs a little extra help! Regular exfoliation helps to remove the build-up of dead skin cells and unclog blocked pores to uncover fresh, healthy cells. This not only improves the look and feel of your skin in the short-term but also enables better product adsorption, meaning superior long-term results as well.

Which exfoliation should you use?

It depends! The best type of exfoliation depends on the condition and sensitively of your skin. It’s often a trade-off between achieving a noticeable result and still being sensitive.
