Does Treatment Hurt?
This is a common concern for most of our patients.
Micro liposuction is performed under anaesthetic. Mild swelling and bruising is to be expected after the treatment, and may take up to a week to settle.
Some pain may be experienced whilst administering the Fat Dissolving Injections, however there generally isn’t any pain after and treatment is quite quick. Swelling is to be expected.
Can I Avoid Bruising and Swelling?
The best way to minimise bruising is to limit the intake of any blood thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin, or any type of anti-inflammatories) as well as over-the-counter blood thinners such as fish oils in the week prior to your treatment.
Swelling is to be expected with these treatments, however there are things you can do after procedure to minimise this such as cool compressing the area and sleeping face up with your head slightly elevated for the next few nights post treatment.
