Patients may experience some discomfort through the injection process. However, our injectors are highly skilled in this treatment, and work to make the process as pain-free as possible. We can also apply a topical anaesthetic to the area being treated so the procedure is more comfortable.
It is normal to experience some redness and swelling after the treatment. This is the body’s natural process of reacting to the broken-down fat cells and rejecting them so that they are expelled permanently. In most cases any swelling or discomfort will subside after 1-2 days.
The amount of injectables required will vary patient to patient. In most cases, you should only need two treatments, 4-6 weeks apart to see a lasting result.
Most patients will notice a change after two treatments at around the 4-6 week mark. Once the fat stores have dissolved, the results are permanent.
